Oh Geesh!

Initially, I couldnt stand Archie Bunker. Then I realized that he was really ridiculing the racist mentality of an "Archie Bunker".

Later, when he became Chief Gillepsie, I admired his work on that show. He was definitely loyal to Howard Rollins and tried to help save that young man's career and life. Chief was never the same after his son died...
