On March 8, 2016 Alcorn State University will host the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing Drive for Diversity Combine for former student-athletes. The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Crew Member Development Program seeks minority male and female senior athletes from all sports. The selection process is based on athletes who are recommended by coaches and athletic directors.

If these kids take this seriously, it can lead to a well paying job. We (WSSU) will host our fourth this spring. WSSU has had four former athletes get employed by NASCAR teams on different levels, including our fullback from the football team of our team that played for the National Championship in 2012. Ricky Rozier has done quite well for himself as a jackman on NASCAR's highest level. He is making 100k. WSSU also has a motorsport management program, and we have our own NASCAR car.

Ummmmmm.... this is not "new" news. ::read:: Guess I kinda' sorta' started paying more attention once TMS was built down the street from the crib and I did a lil' bit of work for them when they first opened. Hmmmmmmmmm....

Kudos, Alcorn St. There's a lot of $$$$$ in the NASCAR circuit.
