Four In Police Custody Following Death
ALCORN STATE, Miss., 8:07 a.m. CDT October 9, 2001 -- An Alcorn State sophomore died Monday night after being shot on campus.
Jekelcy Johnson was reportedly attempting to help a female student who was being harassed. University officials said that a member of that group shot Johnson.
Johnson died at a hospital in Port Gibson a short while later.
Claiborne County sheriff's deputies apprehended four people possibly connected with the crime.
