The mayor of Tuscaloosa is letting bars near the University of Alabama reopen on Tuesday, even though the school just reported more than 800 new cases.

In a press release, Mayor Walt Maddox citied a “positive trend” in results, saying an overall decline in community positivity rates “provides an opportunity for a limited reopening of bars which have sacrificed a great deal to protect our healthcare system and economy.” At the same time, the university reported 846 new cases over the last week—the largest increase in a single week since classes began.

Maddox shut down all bars in the area for two weeks in late August, after more than 500 University of Alabama students tested positive in the first five days back on campus. The latest tally shows an increase in average daily cases from that first report, though a slight decline from a truncated, three-day report the week before.

No one knows anyone's heart, only what they tell and show you. What they truly are will eventually come out if you listen to and watch them long enough.

Just because you attended an HBCU, Jr. College, Trade school, Seminary school, PWI, High School Graduate or a Drop Out doesn't make you less or better for the cause. It's your heart and your plight for justice that counts.

Colin Kapernick attended the University of Nevada does that discredit his plight?

Dr. Martin Luther King attended Boston University does that discredit his plight?

George Floyd attending Texas A&M at Kingsville does that discredit his name?

President Barack Obama attending Harvard University does that discredit his plight?

Najee Harris is currently a student at the University of Alabama who led a rally in 2020 does that discredit his plight because the 5 star decided to attend the University of Alabama?

From great experiences of being a leader, it is always those who will criticize the plan; however, they never have a solution or a plan to make things better. They simply pout, use profanity, and cry wolf!

Complainers like you never have a legitimate comeback because you are not a "Doer". Complainers can never see what is around them because they are too busy complaining. Just like in the James Brown song, "Talking Loud and Saying Nothing", He said, "you are just like a dull knife just ain't cutting, you are talking loud and saying nothing"! Oh by the way your angry comment about Pastor TD Jakes was almost as brutal as black on black crime. However, it is ok, to be angry if you put that angry energy into something positive.

See when Rosa Parks got angry, she refused to allow someone to take her seat on a bus
When Harriett Tubman got angry, she rescued slaves
President O'Bama took out Bin Laden
