A point somewhat overlooked in the Jukes' recent visit to L.A. for the Tourney of Roses Parade was Congresswoman Maxine Waters' contributions in making this historic visit happen. The Congresswoman was the driving force behind the Jukes' half-time performance at a Lakers' game, a first, as well as the FAME church service, another first, in South L.A., in which they received a proclamation from Los Angeles' Mayor Eric Garcetti. Below are videos of Maxine Waters directing the SU Band at the groups' hotel as well as of the proclamaion being read and bestowed at the FAME church service.
