The 79th Magic City Classic will be played on April 17th at Legion Field. Because of Covid-19, this year's game attendance won't exceed 16,000 fans.

Perren King, an executive director with Bruno & the MCC, explained in detail the multiple changes that will be set in place when #AAMU takes on #ASU. Click the link below to watch the story!

It's going to be interesting to how this plays out in Birmingham
It will. But think about this: The Magic City is the last game of the regular season for the SWAC and its in prime time (6:30 PM kick). This game could have a lot of implications for the SWAC Eastern Division too. If fans choose not to attend/ not buy tickets then so be it. But they better be watching ESPNU on that night because viewership matters!

Will the bands be at the game and will they perform at halftime?

Visiting team bands will not be permitted to travel to regular season contests. Additionally, games designated as classics along with games identified as neutral site contests will be played with no bands in attendance from either team.

The Magic City Classic is a "neutral site" game and according to the policies that were put out by the SWAC & NCAA, you can't have bands at Neutral site games. In his full interview, Perren King did mention that multiple virtual events will take place in coordination with the game. So there's a possibility that a pre-recorded show by the bands maybe played at halftime.
