From my experience with working with 3 FBS athletic programs, the coaches definitely glance at the stars. No, it’s not everything to them, but many of the coaches want to knkow who is ranked where and who wants who. Of course, the film is the most important factor.

He's from a school in the Huntsville viewing area. Had a couple of FCS offers coming out of high school but he decided to walk-on at Auburn instead.
