ASU held an unveiling and dedication on Friday, September 15, naming the college in honor of founder and longtime dean, Dr. Percy J. Vaughn.

“The renaming of the college is bestowing honor to an academic leader that had the vision of establishing an accredited college of business administration at an HBCU and setting high standards that would make the college second to none,” said Dr. Kamal Hingorani, COBA’s current dean. “The renaming of the college after Dr. Percy J. Vaughn, Jr., a scholar, mentor and an educator, was a desire of our engaged alumni, the faculty and students and we are so happy that the Board of Trustees acceded to the demand and renamed the College as the Percy J. Vaughn, Jr. College of Business Administration.”

Vaughn boasts a long legacy at ASU. For 35 years as dean, he ensured the educational success of thousands of ASU graduates. From career and job preparation to academic guidance and mentorship, the College of Business Administration supported the mission of ASU by serving the higher educational needs of business students.
