NFL Draft: It's Early But I Want The Sander's and Hunter to Be Treated Fairly


A large number of college players goal is to get into the NFL and thus there maybe some outrage, but the status quo will continue. There is not many entry level jobs out there that can change the life of a person and their family for generations.

one is on the injured reserve and the other will retire, again. Leaving Pickett, Gabriel & Sanders to fight it out for the starting position

they're not trying to break shedeur. they're just tapping at him a little. unfortunately he got caught in the middle of all this. and i don't even blame him. deion is his old man, so he was brought up to be confident in himself, as well as flashy. he's just acting how he was raised to act. but as you said he's a good kid who can play and has never been in any trouble.

the message was to deion. he forgot his last name isn't elway or manning, and the sanders family isn't white.

months ago when he started talking about where he would and wouldn't let shedeur and travis go, and if they were drafted by certain teams he would intervene, the owners took notice. travis kinda distanced himself from that and said he'd be honored to play for whoever drafted him, but deion kept going with talk about shedeur. he wasn't gonna let certain teams talk to him, etc.

the owners have had about of enough of being dictated to. those old crakkkas are multi-billionaires and to them deion was just a player, ie, "the help." and the help doesn't dictate anything. some of them weren't even owners when deion was playing, so they could care even less about him or what he wants. and the way they see it, what if they did draft shedeur in the top 3 and then things didn't go favorably? they'd have to worry about deion in the media taking shots every other day.

when the browns made it plain they intended to draft shedeur in the first, i'd bet good money a gentlemen's agreement was made that the rest of the league would back off if the browns would do them a favor. and we all saw how that played out.

deion had done his job in protecting shedeur and not letting some dumb white coach ruin him by trying to make him a "dual threat" qb in the disgusting spread rpo and getting him hurt. but his gross miscalculation of his own importance and his mouth cost shedeur about 25-30 million.

The election of Donald Trump has brought out the true colors of white Americans that they feel has been suppressed since the civil rights movement. White America rather you folks want to admit it feels minorities have been allowed to run ramped and they especially white men have had to sit back and allow it and hide how they feel. This is why they have voted for Donald Diapers Trump and contributed to his campaign. You have to be very ignorant, uneducated and naive to think Trump is not doing the work of these people. This is only the beginning sit back and hold on because these Amerikkkans are going to take us on a ride the next four years and the young people of this generation has never seen it. Many of us have but chose to act like racism had went away. The bottom line is these white men felt as Deion got out of hand and they showed him who he is to them. I have said it a thousand times stop thinking evangelical Christian Church whites pray to the same God as Black people. They don't and you are stupid if you believe they do. This is why they can do and vote the way they do with no remorse. There are MAGA Christians and then Jesus Christians. You better learn the difference between the two....
 
With only 1 player drafted from a HBCU (correct me if I'm wrong) we must come up with answers. Possibly a HBCU alumni pro league in select southern cities tied to HBCU culture. Our kids deserve a "fair" chance. After watching Irv Mulligan specifically and many other HBCU players the last 2 years I know he and others are as talented as these other players I saw drafted. I will keep an eye out for Southern's DE Ckelby Givens next year.

You are correct. Only 8 FCS players were drafted and only one from an HBCU.

This is an example of this next generation who've been entitled, forcing ncaa to change, etc. on when they hit the real world they see these things and they have to want to do business with you

Yeah but that issue has to be dealt with BEFORE they set foot in college. The issues start in middle and high school. It starts with those kiddie leagues that help create these monsters.

The kids know this because they have been told football or basketball rules especially at high schools. I will put it to you like this there are high schools that have been spared being closed because of those sports.

Yes it is wrong. For all the talk about we need these boys to behave and understand playing in the leagues is a privilege not a requirement-we keep seeing the opposite.

How many teams will line up to try to tame Deshaun Watson? How many teams have guys like Durant, Harden, Paul George, Dillon Brooks, Westbrook, Simmons and Kyrie have ruined? Yet you will get a line of teams trying to tame them.

Someone looks at Sheduer and say "he's boring and won't bring us attention". I rather him show up everyday and try his BEST than be someone getting sued or missing half the season with injuries.

i don't know. i see the racial thing because all of the majority owners are white, but if you were a billionaire with a struggling franchise looking to possibly draft your future qb, and then you have the father, who, in the end, has no power, going around saying what he is or isn't going to allow, that's gonna rub any power holding billionaire the wrong way. when the elways and mannings did it, they told the two respective teams that were in position to draft them that they didn't wanna go there. deion tried putting the whole league on notice, and did so repeatedly. he made it a campaign, which is in keeping with his personality. archie manning isn't really loud, and i don't remember what it was like when elway and his old man did it cause i was too young. if deion keeps quiet, shedeur goes top 3. i wouldn't say this was about racist owners looking to put the Black man in his place so much as this was simply about a group of billionaires who feel like they aren't about to be dictated to by anyone. especially a former player. i believe if any ex player, Black or white, had tried to go about it the way deion did they would've reacted the same. kaepernick was their racism putting a Black man in his place and then colluding to black ball him.

and to be fair, we also gotta keep in mind that alotta the dudes we watched from that era have kids going into the league now, with many more to come. some with names as recognizable as deion's, even if they weren't quite the player. letting deion get away with dictating where his son went would be setting a very bad precedent for any future players and their fathers who may have similar ideas. i'd bet that even with the popularity and success of elway in denver and eli in ny, that there are still owners and ex-owners bitter that those two were able to get away with what they did.
 
Where was the outrage for Jerry Rice's son? Honestly, I do not care what the NFL thinks, as I am not a season ticket holder or affiliated with them by any means so I don't card what happens but watching normal black Americans whine about a celebrity kid is asinine

Colorado's Deion Sanders fired by son for role in Shedeur's NFL Draft slide, according to Shilo​


Deion Sanders entered the NFL Draft as his sons' agent.

The Colorado football coach didn't hold down that job by the end of the weekend.

Shilo, who signed as an undrafted free agent with the Buccaneers, shared that news in a Twitch stream on Saturday night.

"Dad was our agent," Shilo said, "but that hasn't been working out too good. So today I had to sign with an agent."

It's unclear if Shedeur made the same move or not.

Shedeur slid all the way to the fifth round from his status as a consensus first-rounder before being taken by the Browns at No. 144 overall.

Shilo did indeed gain new representation on Saturday. Famed NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus now represents the safety who went undrafted after some projected him as a fifth-round pick.

Rosenhaus posted on social media with a photo of Shilo and the words, "Welcome to the family."

The Sanders family won't be going anywhere.

Deion remains the high-profile coach at Colorado, although now he'll be doing it without his sons or Travis Hunter.

Shedeur's chances of making the Browns will be dissected all offseason.

Shilo has at least an outside shot of making the Buccaneers.

You'll be hearing plenty about the Sanders trio as football season gets closer day by day.

 
people fell for that and buying into this narrative - the plan was to sign with an agent after for Shilo to begin with - free agent invites are handshake deals to begin with

this year's 1st round pick mom went to Prairie View A&M - but NO media outlet has even mentioned that or interviewed her to my knowledge
 
Something tells me the Browns drafted Shadeur to later cut and further humiliate him. On the flipside, the Browns get a Ferrari for the price of a used Chevy for the next three to four years.
