Yea, I didn’t care for Flo-rida this year. But last year I was there for Jazmine Sullivan. She was a hard act to follow up. Hot as HEYAL but she sang her ass off. Hopefully they get someone else like Jazmine or better for 2018.

I explained in the other thread, don't do this. You want to draw a bigger crowd and get to that bag.

Noone wants see Avant, Faith Evans or Carl Thomas

This is about making money and making it a great event.

That's why they lose money at the SWAC ship game, having your mind-set. You want to draw the younger crowd to these events, the older ppl for the most is your crowd and will show up, adding a Migos, or a SZA will add more to this fan base for this event.

1) Nice try but the parade was televised live worldwide which is how I saw it. And Houston is far from just a "local" city, it's an international city with a huge reach and market.
2) When the Storm performed with Beyonce and did Bey even acknowledge them? What big name artist can they attach themselves to "Lately" in the immortal words of Tyrese. And last year our band performed live on Primetime TV (Fox) when Michael Strahan was in town for a NFL game so we're even there.

1. The Astros parade wasn't even shown in dallas. And the clips of it that they showed on the news did not include the Ocean. Just like virtually all of the Astros' press never mentioned Tsu.

2. All that matters is that MILLIONS of people around the world saw images of the Marching Storm splashed on their tv screens. The fact that you are even presenting an untelevised performance with Solange (that never happened)as a major accolade basically confirms the Ocean's b-team status . In the last year alone, PV was selected to perform at Formula One for the second time, Bands of America, Houston Rockets, Dallas Cowboys, Macys, their 8th Honda as well as performed on BET. Yall can keep those instagram performances though.

3. Thats easy to say when you were never asked in the first place. And PV wasn't " placed in the middle of other bands ". They led the parade; the 1st hbcu to ever do so.

I appreciate your enthusiasm for your school but you've been creating an alternate reality on this site for a minute. We haven't forgotten all of those wolf tickets you sold before the season....

SZA is R&B so she would probably pass the test but those folks ain't about to have Migos perform at the State Fair of Texas. It isn't MY mindset. LOL

How would you attract a crowd that's between the ages of 13-27

Invite Faith Evans?

Would you think Migos would bring out the ppl between this age? You want your event to be up there, not stay the same.

Your older crowd is there already for the game, you have to target more an audience that may not come there plus you want those that are 13-16 to get a good experience at a HBUC event

It's all about marketing and expanding your brand, you attract the youth to keep it growing.

Aint worried about the older crowd, they showing up regardless

The 13-27 age range is there already for the rides and carnival games. The football game is basically in addition to what is already going on. Heck some people will see the Jukebox marching in and go buy tickets at the stadium gate just based on that. I don't think you realize how huge the state fair of Texas is.

I know Migos performing after the game will sell tickets to the game

Oh ok

I'm just thinking having Migos on the ticket, that the attendance to the game would go from 28k to close to 43k or higher if the Migos was performing after the game inside the stadium

Student Price is $25 plus fees
General Admission $40 plus fees
They have the bands set up different from how they are at the SFC.
