While it is great that the SWAC title game won the coveted attendance battle, playing the championship in a large stadium helps.

Many of the other FCS games were played on prospective campus and were at, over or near capacity.

Also add that other then player and coaches comp tickets everyone paid to see the game. In also consider that all those other schools played last week in made travel plans and attended with 1 week notice

Also if you believe Legion field was half full I got a business that's makes a million a week that I'll be sell for $200

These were all taken prior to kick off from the press box. JSU had probably had 20k fans in Legion Field

It doesn't make any difference where the game was played they were outdrawn as usual. :emlaugh:

Big whoop.
What did we get for "outdrawing" way better teams playing in stadiums that are only built to hold 22000 people at most. :noidea:

ODU and the rest of them would have more buts in the seats than 8 teams in the SWAC with those numbers. I watched the ODU/Georgia Sou game and that stadium was full from end to end. ODU Forman Field is only built to hold 19,872 people so it look like they busted the seams in that place putting 20,000 up in there.

Looking at those numbers, everyone except Illionis St busted the seams in their stadiums.
Wofford stadium capacity is 13,000 ........crammed 18,000 up in there.
Sam Houston capacity is 14,000...............16,417 up in there.
Illionis St. capacity is 15,000 ............... Got 7,000.

Ya'll point again?

Or they made their numbers look better than what they actually were...

Again............ I watched the ODU/G. Southern game. The place was packed so I doubt they "fudged" the numbers.

So who say we didn't do the same with that 32,000 figure.
Didn't look like 32,000 on TV.

Maybe we should have jammed out 32K in Prairie View's 5K seat stadium to put an exclamation point on the victory. :emlaugh:

Is this the SWAC championship Game? Oh this is just a quarter final game

This is the first time the SCG has been over 25,000 since the last time Gram and JSU played in 2008. We had 43,206 in 2007
and 25,806 in 2008.

ODU gets props for what they are doing but we all know this is very atypical for playoff games. GaSouthern and App State pretty much sell out every week.

..and 83, that 32K for Bham was probably right. I would even say slight undercount but that would probably be due to comp tix.

.

They would have been happier if we had 8K fans there. They don't like that we outdrew the white folks on a neutral site 4-5 hours away from each school.

Nope.
It is the no-playoff crowd that always put those numbers up every year as some kind of measuring stick against the rest of FCS. It has nothing to do with outdrawing white folk. This is about competition. Everything with ya'll is that "Grass is greener" or "Outdo white folk" garbage.

FCS is about competition.............something the mentality of this conference ran from a long time ago.

The SWAC is about having a meaningless rematch in December.
UAPB actually had the title locked up in week #9 since we all play each other. Ya'll crowing about one game that nobody outside of the SWAC GAS about. We are basically filler for ESPN when they have a lot of slots to fill after the FBS season. We look stupid playing a conference championship game and on the next channel, our level of football is participating in the FCS playoff going for a N.C.

But I know..............Bad Jstate83.
It's all about them "WHITE FOLK."

It will be interesting to see how the SCG attendance matches up with the FCS Championship attendance.

But like '83 is saying, the picture from the ODU-GSU game had most to due with the teams playing. Ga Southern has a huge following and very competitive team on a regular basis. ODU is competitive and moving to another conference. When you have matchups like the GSU-ODU game, you may see huge attendance in the playoffs and the possibility of a home-n-home in the regular season(s). This would build competitive schedules. Another reason for the 7-game mandate. Wish we could get rid of the SCG, but if they are taking bids on the location, it's gonna be here for a while.

HELL YEAH!!!!! Would've been 20K+ people all on Blackshear field around the track. Talk about impressive! lol

Also, I really seriously doubt that PV's stadium could seat 5K souls comfortably... it's more like 3500-4000. :read: But, I'll let the "official" folx continue on w/ their lies. :D
