Doug Williams Reach Agreement

I feel ya. BTW does anyone know their coaches incentives?

Comegy don't get anything close to that. I think he gets incentives for winning the EAST, the SCG and maybe wins per season but each of them may be worth 3 to 5K... nothing like 25K. The only thing Comegy really gets for good APR is a contract extension.. lol (if he is winning).

Their standards have been lowered. If this was in the past, SU would have been fired him lol. They have become very soft.:shame:

Southern standards? You are overrating Southern's football program. Southern's standards have never changed. Other than Pete and Ace, Southern is known for letting losers coach for at least 3 years before they move on. I do believe that Stump will have a better year this year. However, they are paying the price for getting rid of Pete.

:smh:

He actually took up for yall SUJag. Well at least he said he thinks Stump will do better this season. lol

I really think Stump will have a good season this year. If not, he will be added to SU's standard 3 and out list. In fact, i know many SU fans who put him on that same list with Kimble, Cass J, Tabor and even Hill after the P.V game last season.

This is the first season at SU, that Stump has had a even deck :) . The JSU game was the one that SU shouldn't have lost. SU dominated and had umpteen chances to put them away. SU wont lose all those close games this year.

Stump had to change a program that was in another system for years! I remember how long it took for Doug Williams to get his program rolling when he took over after the great Eddie Rob. After reviewing SU's spring practice reports, depth chart reviews and Stump's coaching style, I really can't see the Jags losing too many games in 2012. Last season, SU had 4 losses that were by less than 4 points or less. Southern really should have went 8-3 last season, however, they kept coming up one snap short. The Jags were a very solid 4-7 team last season. Like I said, I do expect Stump to have a good season this year. I don't want to sound like I want him to have a winning season, but I am a person who likes to keep it real. Note to the SWAC: Please don't sleep on Southern in 2012!

Errrrrr Ok!!! We wont

This wasn't directed toward Grambling fans. If it was for Grambling fans, I would have said " tell Doug to stay awake in the second half against Southern in 2012." For we all know his second half coaching skills in the dome were pretty bad in the past.

Dude how did we get to title 9???? SMH SMH... damn you mad because folks said SU will be sorry. Like G4Life said DONT EVEN SHOW UP

Really  I could give a f what y'all say or think. The results will be determined on the field so all of that doesn't matter. I was just wondering with the increase in Doug's salary would there be any title 9 issues if the women's sports coaches salary's weren't increased. SU had that issue in the past.

They have new office space, updated facilities, etc. That was handled a while back. NCAA even came and took at look at it. We're good.
