They been gettin away with murder....okay, maybe not murder, but manslaughter....Dude gets busted open in game 1, no foul. KoMe lays on top of Battier and tries to provoke him, no call. Don't get it twisted, the refs are nowhere close to the reason the Rox lost. But even before all the fireworks in the 2nd half, I commented to a friend that the refs were trying hard to be noticed in the game. In a perfect world, the refs are just in the background on the court. They inserted themselves into last night's game. It went both ways, for the most part. But dayum...

Notice the only people complaining about the refs are the Houston folks.

Sore loosers.

We lost because KoMe was just on in the 1st quarter. Most teams will lose BIG when giving up 39 1st qtr points. My only point in bringing it up is that they consistently miss lots of obvious calls.

By the way, did you hear Fisher's explanation on why he thought a flagrant 2 was not warranted on that play? Comical, to say the least.

The stakes are higher now. I now it's been 12 years Rockets fans, but the further you get, the tougher the games. I know ya'll remember the physicality of that Knicks-Rockets series or those Jazz-Rocket series in he 90s.

You have a great point. My thing is consistency. If you can make a dude bleed at one end with no call, how can you call a touch foul on the other end that doesn't even move or displace a player?

Those early fouls on Yao were legit. And the Lakers flat out outscored you guys in the first QTR. You had more fouls and got into the penalty early each QTR including the first. I mean the Lakers were in foul trouble 8 minute into the 3rd and 4th QTR. Shoot the Rockets got allt he calls in game one and nobody from the Lakers side said a thing.

And Ron Artest has thrown some cheap shots in his career. He mad cause he thought him and Kobe was cool. It's the playoffs man all friendships go out the window.

Like Charles and Kenny said when talking about Dirk. When you are a perinial alstar and the man on your team. Never ever....ever say someone had your number. Like Kobe has show Battier(white women)he can't check me...

All.........That was the best game last night that I've seen in a long time. That was some good old school physical basketball! :emlaugh: This series is going to be great......

2 different games and 2 different officiating crews.

Yeah I know that, but even from 1st half to 2nd half, there was a huge difference.

The calls on Yao were indeed legit. I was pissed at Yao that he didn't slide up 6 more inches on that 1 block call where his heels were on the semi-circle. 6 more inches, and that's an easy charge.

I said from the jump that the reason we lost the game was the 1st quarter, and more specifically, KoMe's barrage in that quarter. It was obvious that he wasn't gonna let his team start off flat.

Yao should take one for the team. he need to get physical with those lakers.

Kobe should be suspended, but when one of those other players get hit they look at the film.

Not true. Kobe did a elbow in the flow of the game and it was not Malicious as Ron Artest did a great acting Job..

Dewight Howard on the other hand made his shot turned around and swung his elbow to the face of the player. Different scenerio all together.

And Yao aint got to do that when he has all those other dudes to do it for him.

What the heck is wrong with Von wafer????:retard::retard:Kid is too good to be cutting up like that. He flat out scares me when he's in the game.

I think much on Von's frustration is that he hasn't been able to get to the rim for his one hard dunk of the game in the last FEW games. Dunno exactly how things transpired, but that wasn't a good look for the Nilla Wafer.

If folks would look at the video before Kobe's elbow, you'd see that Artest had his forearm in the back of Kobe's head.

And why aren't folks talking about the Houston coach having to send one of his own players to the lockerroom for insubordination? I can't believe Barkley and Smith missed talking about that.
They're so focused on physical play, when they were guilty of it themselves.

Nobody forgot about Wafer. That was sad in and of itself. But Wafer ain't tackled nor bloodied nobody.

What he did was worse. He did it to his own team and not the other. Too bad Kenny and Charles were so focused on physical play and not more important things. I don't even recall them mentioning this one time.

He ain't really been a big factor, so I really don't understand your point. It would be different if it was Yao, but it was Von Wafer.

You just missed it because they did talk about it.

:retard:...wtf does that have to do with Lakers v Rockets? That was Adelman v Wafer...cuz, Wafer hasn't made THAT much of an impact on the series to make it about the Lakers v Rockets.

Stick to the subject, Du'Mass.

Point Blank...Kobe and the Lakers played ibtch ball last night. Very Utahish. I can't believe some of you are actually defending it. Call it what it was....ibtchball.

Don't talk that "it's old school ball" bs. Cuz, I was on the NBA back then too. And, there's a difference between hard-nose and ibtchball

Artest and Kobe did nothing out of the ordinary when going for that rebound, UNTIL, Kobe threw the bow. Doesn't matter where it landed. He threw it...it landed...and, the dude that got hit got called for a foul. Eventually, getting kicked out for it. Dat's dat bullisht....period.

Where's J4L? That's the only Laker fan that talks about what he sees on tv, instead of going with the usual Laker rhetoric.

I'm not a Rocket fan and I still think the refs are playing too big a role. That late foul against Yao was crazy. He was in position, and Odom made it crystal clear what he was gonna do. I think Yao sometimes falls into that Shaq treatment, where they tag you for everything. Artest is a fool, that boy say "I was just telling him calm down, you know you hit Ron Artest right?" LOL!!!!!!! Talking about oneself in 3rd person. That fool is a character.

P.S. if the Rockets stop turning the ball over they can beat the Lakers.

P.S. #2 I wonder where T-Mac is and what he's thinking.

Rockets have better match ups to me still. I see them getting it in by the end of the day.....but still everyone wanna see Lakers vs Cavs...so you never know.

Yao's feet were clearly in the restricted area.
