Obama for President?

I probably felt the same way so I won't clown anyone.

However, I do KNOW that I felt that a Hillary/Obama ticket would win and I still think so.

No one back in 06 could've anticipated Obama raising 600Million Dollars and inspiring Millions of ordinary citizens to volunteer 30-40 hours a week to help him get elected. And we had no idea how talented and organized his team was. We always knew it would take a great candidate running an almost perfect campaign for a non-white to get elected. That's exactly what happened.

Obama won this election for various reasons.

1. The American public no longer trusted the Republicans and the Bush regime. People were mired in fear over the economy, foreclosures, the war and unemployment.

2. Obama was different, young and refreshing.

3. He played up the whole idea of "change" and trying to relate to the common man and woman.

I guess you had no doubts that Obama would win, even back in '06, huh???

I didn't know who would win I didn't say I did (If I did then show me ) but I could tell by the following he was building back then that he would make a big impact. I also didn't want him to wait until 2012......

We all need to honest with ourselves and realize that Bush helped O win this thang. The two wars at one time killed the economy and folks hopes.

Interesting this thread has come back up. I distinctly remember making statements that he couldn't win because of his name. Out side of that, I felt he had everything else needed to not only win, but to lead this country. An Obama/Clinton ticket was never something I felt could work.

Various reasons, George W. Bush, The Economy, Sarah Palin, Iraq war, War in Afghanistan, Osama on the loose, and an astronomical $600 million campaign war chest. All are just instruments God used. In summary, Obama is president because God wanted Him to be (to what end God will use him, such is privy only to God).

What we should get from this Thread and the outcome of this election is that we must Have Faith in what we want, even in the face of insurmountable circumstances. Our foe is only as strong as we perceive it to be, without Faith failure is the only option.

Here are two examples of Blind Faith in face of insurmountable circumstances:
  1. In 1962, JFK stated that we would go to the Moon by the end of the decade. We Did!
  2. In 1968, RFK stated that in Forty Years a Black (Negro) man could become President. Obama is President Elect!

Don't sleep on Barack Obama ... he is worth watching AND worth voting for!
I was re-reading this thread and was struck by how SILLY some of the comments now look in light of Obama's contiuned success. :retard:

Throughout history, death has had a profound effect on how things change. When someone's love one come back home from an unjust war in a metal coffin, it's definitely time for change. The sad part about this is that Vietnam was not that long ago. Somehow folks in this country seem to forget the past so easily. Just before the war started, I told someone that if this war drags on that White Americans would come to realize that Black Americans are not their enemies. I just didn't realize at that time that it would get a Black man elected to the highest office in this country. What White Americans fail to realize is that we have been their greatest allie. Even Jesse Jackson accomplished things that White Americans dare not to do. On several occasions, Jesse was able to obtain the freedom of captured American pilots and soldiers in the hands of America's enemies. It's truly sad when White Americans can't recognize their best of friends.

Can You reference Bluedog Quote. I can't seem to find it.

There is no direct quote,. Just referencing the post where he called Bob Johnson a clwon because he supported Obama, but only after his favored candidate was out of the race. Considering how many did not think Obama could win at the start, but changed their minds after he built momentum, and later supported his campaign.......they then must be clowns, and uncle tom's too.

But I am sure like most liberals, he will say he believed in "change" from the start......

Bob Johnson was a clown before the election. Most Conservative Uncle Toms refuse to acknowledge the fact that Bob Johnson was the founding father of the number one clown show (BET) on T.V., which helped the Republicans by distracting a large majority of the Black population from the real issues.

Typical black republican, their thought process is so screwed up until they actually believe the crap that they spew.

But what can you expect from a voter base that stand side by side with a group of people that see them as second class citizens and a bunch of dummies and have entirely no need for them until there's some qualified black person that's about to take a seat away from them.
