MURRAY, Ky. – The Tennessee State football team suffered a 45-21 defeat at the hands of Murray State on the road on Saturday at Roy Stewart Stadium in Ohio Valley Conference action.
Tennessee State (2-3, 1-2 OVC) jumped out to a 14-3 lead in the first quarter, but Murray State (3-3, 3-0 OVC) answered with 35-consecutive points to seize control of the game.
TSU wide receiver Chris Rowland posted another impressive outing with 13 catches for 128 yards and one touchdown.
For the defense, Vincent Sellers and Dajour Nesbeth picked up eight tackles apiece. The Tigers forced a pair of turnovers with Dieuseul Stcyr picking up his first career interception and John Robinson IV securing his first career fumble recovery.
