The 76th annual Magic City Classic between Alabama A&M and Alabama State was the featured event for HBCU sporting events last week.

That event, combined with several HBCU homecomings that were scheduled, made up a week that produced some unique and creative halftime shows.

Here are the top five HBCU band halftime shows from Week 9.

5. Grambling State (vs. Texas Southern)
Performed at Eddie Robinson Stadium, Grambling, La.

4. Bethune-Cookman (vs. Hampton)
Performed at Municipal Stadium, Daytona Beach, Fla.

3. South Carolina State (vs. Howard)
Performed at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium, Orangeburg, S.C.

2. Norfolk State (vs. Savannah State)
Performed at William “Dick” Price Stadium, Norfolk, Va.

1. Alabama State (vs. Alabama A&M)
Performed at Legion Field, Birmingham, Ala.
