Our top five HBCU halftime shows from Week 3 are made up of performances from bands that we see often and not so often.

The shows include a special high school appearance, a tribute to the victims of Hurricane Irma, and a particular halftime performance that, for many, may go down as one of the biggest “diss” performances of the year towards a rival school.

Here are the top five HBCU band halftime shows from Week 3.

5. Hampton (vs. Livingstone)
Performed at Armstrong Stadium, Hampton, Va.

4. South Carolina State (vs. Johnson C. Smith)
Performed at Oliver Dawson Stadium, Orangeburg, S.C.

3. Texas Southern (special appearance)
Performed at Mustang Stadium, Manor, Texas

2. Florida A&M (vs. Tennessee State – Tampa Classic)
Performed at Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Fla.

1. Jackson State (vs. Grambling)
Performed at Eddie Robinson Stadium, Grambling, La.
