The difference was one vote. But that one extra vote was all that was needed for the Prairie View A&M Marching Storm to be voted HBCU Sports Band of the Week for Week 6 and for the second time this season.

Receiving 105 votes for the top spot, Prairie View A&M topped Miles College, which finished in second place with 104 votes due to a rally of votes that took place during the second day of voting.

Bethune-Cookman finished in third place with 15.05 percent (42 votes) of the vote, followed by North Carolina A&T, Alcorn State.

Other schools receiving less than two percent of the votes were Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Norfolk State, Tuskegee, Lane College and Morehouse College.
