Each week during the football season, HBCU Sports will give fans the chance to vote on the HBCU band of week.

If your school’s band is not on this week’s list of nominees, don’t worry. As new videos of halftime performances (from football games played the preceding week) become available, we – with your help – will consider those performances as potential nominees for HBCU band of the week.

This week’s nominees, selected by our staff, are the bands we featured in polls earlier this week.

The bands (along with video performances) appear below in alphabetical order?

Arkansas-Pine Bluff: (Halftime vs. Tennessee State)

Grambling: (Halftime vs. Virginia-Lynchburg)

Jackson State: (Halftime vs. UNLV)

Prairie View A&M: (Halftime vs. Texas Southern)

Tennessee State: (Halftime vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff)

Texas Southern: (Halftime vs. Prairie View A&M)

Southern: (Halftime vs. Louisiana-Monroe)

Poll closes Friday (Sept. 9) at 11:59 p.m.
