Grambling’s “World Famed” Tiger marching band made its 2016 halftime debut Saturday during the football team’s season opener against Virginia-Lynchburg in Grambling, La.

During the performance, after marching to create the letters “BLM” to honor the Black Lives Matter moment, the band paid tribute to the late Prince by performing the song Purple Rain.

Take a moment to watch and then rate the band’s performance.
