The World Famed Grambling State University Tiger Marching Band has been voted HBCU Sports Band of the Week for Week 8.

Receiving band of the week honors for the second time this season, the Tiger Marching Band tallied 63.31 (214 votes) percent of the votes for its Oct. 24 homecoming halftime performance against Mississippi Valley State.

North Carolina A&T finished the polling in second place with 30.47 (103 vote) percent of the vote, followed by Jackson State, Lane College, Virginia Union and Bowie State.

The HBCU Sports Band of the Year honor will be announced in January.
