Prairie View A&M has agreed to play SEC member Texas A&M in a football game scheduled for the 2016 season according to FBSchedules.com.
The game, to be played at Kyle Field on Sept. 10 on the A&M campus, will be a historic first-time meeting between the two programs on the gridiron.
Texas A&M will pay Prairie View a $450,000 guarantee to make the less than 1-hour trip to College Station.
This game marks the second FBS opponent the Panthers will face during the 2016 season. In April it was announced that Prairie View agreed to play at Rice on Oct. 22.
