For years now the State Fair Classic football game between Grambling and Prairie View has been a talking point for things that have nothing to do with the game itself.  As some of you are probably aware, the circus atmosphere that comes with State Fair Classic has been a sore subject with me for years.

The 2011 version of the State Fair Classic was no different.  In  fact, it was so bad it resulted in Prairie View head football coach Heishima Northern to speak about how the circus like environment impacted this team’s play on the field during the game.  It even got Urban Sports News CEO, John Posey to speak out.

Below is my interview with Prairie View A&M athletics director Fred Washington, where we talked about the State Fair Classic and the steps that will be taken resolve the aforementioned concerns.
