• Alabama A&M travels to Prairie View A&M in a battle of division leaders. The Bulldogs ended a two-game losing streak by posting their fifth concecutive win over Alabama State in the Magic City Classic. Prairie View A&M is coming off an open date and plays its first game since a 16-14 Thursday win at Southern on Oct. 22.


Grambling State plays Univ. Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the Delta Literacy Classic in Little Rock, AR in a battle of two teams looking to stay in the West race. The defending champion Tigers have won three games in a row and are coming off a big Homecoming win over Mississippi Valley State. UAPB is coming off a home loss to Southern.

• Jackson State, tied for the East lead with Alabama A&M, returns from an open date and will celebrate homecoming this weekend when the Tigers face Alabama State. JSU posted a 25-16 road win over rival Mississippi Valley State on Oct. 24 to move into a first-place tie for the division lead. Alabama State will look to end a three-game losing streak in the series.

• Texas Southern travels to Mississippi Valley State as the Tigers look to continue to stay in the hunt for the West title. TSU has won two in a row, including a 51-point outburst in its homecoming win over Alcorn State last week. The Delta Devils will look to end a four-game losing skid in its final home conference game of the season.
