Baton Rogue, LA – ESPNU will televise the Alabama State at Southern men’s basketball game Monday night at 8 p.m. The contest is a match-up of the league’s top two teams.
The Hornets currently lead the SWAC with a 5-1 conference record (9-7 overall), and have won four consecutive games. The Jaguars are right behind at 5-2 in the SWAC (7-11 overall).
Monday’s game also features the fifth match-up between ASU’s Lewis Jackson and SU’s Rob Spivery, who won two conference titles during his tenure as head coach of the Hornets. Jackson is 3-1 against Spivery.
Sophomore guard Andrew Hayles is the Hornets’ top scorer with 13.4 points per game. The Jaguars are led by Chris Davis’ 13.3 points per game.
To accommodate ESPNU’s national broadcast, the ASU versus Southern women’s game will tip off at 5 p.m.
