Will the contract JSU (3yrs at $260,000)

this fool started a thread for this dumb ass question.
It's plenty smack threads and Bobby Rush threads for you ask these dumb ass questions.

It was a legitimate question. How would he have known that JSU has a buyout clause supposedly of $58,000?

I knew it was a legitimate question. These toothless blue tiger need to sweep around there own front door before they sweep around somebody else.

This coming from a Bama State fan? Hahahahaha!!! Our issues are nowhere near the problems at Bama State.

Jackson wasn’t halfway through his second season coaching the Tigers when he was terminated. His predecessor, Rick Comegy, was fired in 2013, after winning seasons and back-to-back trips to the SWAC championship.

JSU alum and NFL great Willie Richardson said he’s baffled.

“You know, it is difficult to come behind Comegy,” Richardson said. “Comegy had gone to two SWAC championships. The only thing you can do better than that is win.”

Jackson didn’t win. The Tigers had a 6-11 record under Jackson, and was 1-4 this season. The university offered no explanation as to why it let go of a coach who was being paid $260,000 a year on a contract set to expire in 2017.

There are financial repercussions from the firing. The university is reportedly in the final stages of paying off Comegy’s contract. Now it has to settle with Jackson, which is a $65,000 payout figure unless the two sides can come to some other agreement.

They're speaking of the $50k buyout for Comegy. The question is how long the university has to pay off that buyout. Whether it's one or two years, etc. per the contract. The article leads you to believe that we're paying off a full contract, which is not true.

What proof do you have that they aren't?

Everybody know they are still paying Coach Comegy some compensation from his contract. They had to fire Coach Jackson they are a middle of the pack SWAC team.

I knew that he was. Just entertaining myself by seeing how many others actually know it for a fact or just simply repeating what they heard.

No one is repeating what they heard. The full details of Comegy's contract were made public when he renegotiated in 2010 and upon his firing in 2013. The same happened with Jackson's contract in January 2014.

Bama State is the last school that should be speaking about paying someone from their contract. Silver, Danley, and soon Barlow will still be on your payroll.
