Vin Scully to return to Dodgers, says 2016 will likely be final season

Vin Scully is coming back to broadcast Dodgers games in 2016 for his 67th season.

"God willing," said Scully, who turns 88 years old in November.

Giving nothing away after calling a Clayton Kershaw strikeout of Miguel Montero to end the top of the second inning Friday night, Scully stayed silent on the Sportsnet L.A. broadcast as Dodgers executive Magic Johnson appeared on a video board inside of Dodger Stadium. His voice alerted fans inside of the ballpark, and watching at home, that the Dodgers had "big, breaking news to report."

Johnson gave way to late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who waved to the fans and said nothing, but instead showed a succession of cue cards saying:

"Vin will be back for one more year (at least). God bless us, everyone
