Fifty-Thirty Five
Dayum, dayum, dayum ... I'll never forget that day. ...

The Rest:GSU fans, when discussing the I-AA playoffs, always lament that day in Boise - this wintry place where the Tigers were forced to go 25 seasons long ago. Oh, this isn't one to forget. And it wasn't just the disparity of records, the tight 14-9 loss, or the bone-jarring cold.
It was all of that.
"Many of us wondered why did the NCAA sent those Southern boys to Boise, Idaho," one e-mailer said today. "As noted, GSU had the better record. Afterwards, some of the players shared with us students that they had never ever been so cold, in their lives."
Now, Grambling scored first, in a dominating first half. Yet four drives that saw GSU move at will between the 20s somehow bogged down in the red zone. Some blamed the chill, others the refs.
