Y'all know I love the kickers and punters, but what is so "notable" about this performance?

This kid really stepped up big time! His play helped spark the jags comeback...no small feat. At the time, it seemed like UAPB was gonna take control and finish out strong. This Kid deserves the award for what he did and the impact it had on the game.

(Dayum that was hard) :lmao: :lmao:

What about Mickey Dean from UAPB?? He ran through SOUTHERN's Defense last Sat. over 100 yds rushing???

I think these awards have become a Sheridan-esque joke.

The main reason, IMO, is the inconsistency in nominations.

Some schools will nominate guys for doing next to nothing, while others won't nominate unless a player changes the orbit of the Earth.

At least I hope that's what it is. If the SWAC office is responsible instead, then it just adds to the legacy.

And you're right, Dean at least deserved to be "notable".
