Final Stats
MONTGOMERY, AL - The Jackson State baseball team improved to a 25-10 overall record and a 15-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference play by sweeping a Saturday double-header against Alabama State. JSU won the first game 5-1 and 10-6 in the second game. JSU has won seven straight games with the two victories over the Hornets.
The Tigers recorded nine hits and the Hornets had only two. Frank Solis, Kendall Logan and Jose Cruz did the heavy lifting for JSU, as each player had two hits. Logan also finished with three runs. Quintavious Drains (8-3) pitched a complete game to pick up the win in game one. In nine innings of work he gave up only one run on two hits, while striking out three batters.

Alcorn has played a killer non conference schedule. To me, it was really dumb and an over kill scheduling so many high caliber non conference games. Add the fact that Jackson State is having a banner year with Bama State surging and you really have a disaster. :lol: :emlaugh:

With Jackson State and Coach Rey (Alcorn) in the east, in the future, he will be having these rants much more often than in the MEAC. :lol: :emlaugh: I wont even go into the heat that is waiting in the west......
