Southern University's Junior Day

This is why 99.9% of the folks on here say you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about football. Seriously.

These Jsu knuckle heads should be embarrassed to talk about football. They basically are AAMU and Bama State's jump off. These nincompoops always go out of conference and embarrass the hell out of the SWAC can't win the SWAC/MEAC challenge and are 2-7 against Tennessee State the last 9 years. They have institutional thug control problems and have just been sorry in competition but still have the unmitigated gall to flex. :smh:  :emlaugh:

So that's what a nincompoop is?

Damn you JSU... :banghead:

Heard the event went great. Some big name folks showed up from what I hear, some that's even committed to Alabama and LSU. Good work Coach Germany and Stump  .

Recruits pile onto The Bluff for Southern’s very own Junior Day
Posted on April 29, 2012 by Perryn Keys
Yes, it was yet another super-strong weekend for the Southern baseball team. In thumping Jackson State twice to sweep their two-game series, the Jaguars extended their winning streak to 13 games and further established themselves as the probable favorite at the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament — which, of course, happens right at Lee-Hines Field.

But they weren’t the only group of Jaguars to have a productive weekend.

The football coaches — remember them? — had quite a little event on campus, as well.

The staff dreamed up, and executed, Southern’s first major Junior Day on Saturday afternoon, hosting area prospects who are currently high school juniors — guys who are only a few months away from their senior year, when the recruiting race truly gets hot.

Easy here,

That's a pulse in the right direction , but his job depends on his current team's success this year. Those kids are two years off from coming onto the yard......Going in the right direction though!!!

Now that SU has done all the work and published a list of great prospects, all our recruiters have to now is follow up on the names listed. SU might get 4 from the list of prospect and AAMU can get a few.

These type of Louisiana athletes would never go to a lowly program like AAMU before choosing S.U. :emlaugh:

That's going to be a task for y'all to try and pull off :) .

Exactly. You have Southern, ULL, Tulane, ULM, La Tech, McNeese, Nicholls, Northwestern State, and Grambling, not to mention that some would actually rather be on the practice squad at LSU than actually get serious playing time at the other schools. After all of that, does he really think that they would choose Alabama A&M? Can't forget that Jackson State, Prairie View A&M, and Alcorn try to raid the state to at times.

Yeah, you don't see too many La players bail out to schools outside the state unless it is next door to Texas and Ms or up to Arkansas. Especially at the FCS level or lower tier FBS. Big time FBS wise you may have one or two head to Alabama or somewhere else in the SEC versus LSU.

It's obvious that SU staff has impressed a lot of high school coaches. Usually the coaches block contact to the high level players with our schools. And for this many high level players to pay to attend a event on SU's campus speaks volumes. Check the list out, a lot of them has offers to some BCS powers.

Former AAMU head coach and former LSU DB coach son. Plus they did have some kids in from Alabama according to the scout article.
