"Leader of Kings"
The long awaited fight between welterweight champions Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao has finally been announced for May 2, but Las Vegas sportsbooks have had odds posted on the fight for several weeks.

On Friday morning, Mayweather was as high as a minus-275 favorite at the Westgate SuperBook and as low as -240 at William Hill. The SuperBook had Pacquiao at plus-235, with the Wynn offering plus-220 on the underdog.

The early action has been light, touristy and almost all on the underdog, the books said. Ninety-four percent of the money that had been bet at William Hill was on Pacquiao. A $1,000 bet on Pacquiao was the biggest William Hill had taken as of Friday. The majority of bets, though, were much smaller, and came mostly from recreational bettors who were in town for other events like the Super Bowl.

"All small bets," John Avello, sportsbook director at Wynn, said before Friday's announcement.

That will change.

At long last, pound-for-pound greats Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will fight.

Yes, the bout that looms as one of the most anticipated in boxing history is finally on.

For more than five years sports fans have clamored for a summit meeting between the two best fighters in the world, and after various failed negotiations -- and a protracted and difficult effort to make the fight in recent months -- they will get it on May 2 to unify the fighters' welterweight world titles at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Floyd is going to beat Manny by TKO. I like Manny, but he has too many basic flaws that are going to put him on the canvas against a superior boxer like Mayweather. Floyd is going to pop shot Manny all night long. I don't see this even being a good fight if Mayweather fights like Mayweather instead of trying to please the crowd by standing in 1 spot like he did in his last few fights.

Floyd is going to beat Manny by TKO.....

I stopped reading right there. When was the last time Floyd even put someone on the canvas let alone knocked someone out. Floyd my very well win, but it will be by a decision. One thing is true about Manny that you have to respect, he has good hand speed, a solid chin, and even at 37+ still packs power.

I wouldn't tout anyone's chin that's been KO'd by one punch. As for Money and his power, you gotta factor in that he been fighters guys 15-20 lbs. heavier than him. When Money defends the Junior Middleweight title, he weighs in at 150. His opponent weighs 154. Next day, Money weighs 152 and his opponent is damn near 170. Maidana gained 18 pounds between the weigh-in and the fight. That's a light heavyweight. Bigger dudes can take his punch better than smaller dudes. In this fight, Money will be bigger than Pac, so it'll be a better barometer. Remember Money was putting fighters on they ass when he was in smaller divisions. He was training down, like most of his opponents are now. When he got to Welter and Junior Middle is when the KOs stopped. Money can't get no bigger.

That's cool. Floyd's power is very underrated. Please don't act like Pacman hasn't been knocked out 3 times in his career. Yeah, 2 of those KO's were years ago, but he still has been KO'd. He has also been down plenty of times as well.

Mayweather has only been down 1 time in his legendary career, and he still got up to win a decision. The funny thing is that even when he went down, it was on his terms because he broke his hand.

Say what you want about Mayweather's power, but the man will be the bigger man come May 2nd. I am predicting Manny to get a boxing lesson and the ref to stop the fight late resulting in a TKO win.

Amazing the completely different opinions from boxing fans but I'm going with Pac. Floyd stayed away from Pac for years for a reason.

After Money beats the unholy hell out of Pac, folk that think he's scared gonna feel real silly. Pac is 2-2 in his last 4 fights, with one KO loss. What's to be scared of???

Floyd stayed away because of Bob Arum, and Manny's unwillingness to take an Olympic style drug test. Even Teddy Atlas knew that Pac wasn't clean. Now that he is willing to take the test, he doesn't seem to have the same power that he had before the accusations.

Mayweather will pop shot him until the ref jumps in.

So in 15yrs how many drug test did Manny fail? None. Mosley got caught doping & Floyd still fought him. Besides, Manny agreed 3yrs ago to any testing mayweather wanted. Mayweather fighting now because most of the boxing world keeps calling him out & he thinks Manny slowed down.

Funny thing is all these mayweather fans talk about manny losing fights, getting knocked out, etc even though 99% of floyds opponents have several losses too & he still fights them. Manny was the only one he refused to fight. Talk trash on social media for 6yrs but REFUSED to fight him.

Floyd and his dad have both answered that question already which is why he would never fight the man. I'll post the links.

Barry Bonds, Mark Maguire, Sammy Sosa or A-Rod never tested positive for steroids, but everybody still said they were taking them.

If "everyone" says you're taking them maybe there's some truth to it. Floyd was the only one talking about manny roiding to avoid fighting him. Besides, boxers get tested with every performance unlike other sports.

I think floyd is better than manny but I never thought he had that same confidence. We'll see May 2nd. See video. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10152319075548119&id=77710508118&refsrc=https://m.facebook.com/video.php
