Say, ain't Red Cashion ya boy that's known for they way he said first down? If so...he's on all the Madden games as the voice of the official.

Also see David Boston's pops running the camp..ironic his dad's a "Line Judge" with his son's alleged drug issues in recent years...

This should be good...but how often does the SWAC evaluate officials though...Jafus or someone help me out please

it was in Houston during 2003.................the coaches have the opportunity to evaluate officials and there's someone watching over the officials during each game in an undisclosed location.

SWAC officials being evaluated? From the looks of things, it hasn't done much good.

As expected, someone from what Lewis calls "Kountry Bamma Norf" has said something about officials...

I'm surprised MD or Mike or even you AAMU Alum didn't get in on it earlier...

the guys I work with and I always debate on whether the SWAC or Southland Conference officials are the worst. From what I hear, they're pretty much neck-and-neck

As expected, someone from what I CALL the murky, "stanky" swamp of "Souf Lucy'anna" is defending them! AAMU folks aren't the only ones who've complained about officiating in this league.

I don't care about officials in the Southland Conference.

now hold up...I have NEVER defended the SWAC officials on any occasion...I've complained about them on many occasions, and I also coined a phrase "SWAC Officials, they never cease to disappoint you!"

I'm just saying that y'all have went out of y'alls way in recent years complaining about officials when things didn't go y'alls way. I cannot even recall an instance when AAMU complained about the officiating in games they have won. Now old heads call that 'being sometimin'," while others call it "selective amnesia." I call y'alls focus on officials is something bordering on, or at the point of, obsession. Y'all are obsessed with the SWAC officials... :lmao:

We always talk about how terrible our officials are, but people from other conferences always think their officials are the worst. That's the gist of why I said something about the Southland. However, I do believe the conference's officiating is the worst altogether.

This is one event no one will complain about if held in Alabama, MD can be the host.

.

If you have been the beneficiary of the officials calls on the majority of occasions, it's only natural that you'd feel that way.

That is all.

I'm tellin you AAMU, SU has either been penalized as much or has given up the most yards in penalties as AAMU in the previous four-five year span... There's really not that much of a difference..

the SWAC ranks penalties by yards given up by penalties

(No. games played, No. penalties, yards given up and yards per game)

2004 Season:
Southern............ 12 86 854 71.2 (last in SWAC)
Alabama A&M......... 11 80 718 65.3 (4th in SWAC)
difference: 136 total yards/5.9 ypg

2003 Season:
Southern............ 13 97 955 73.5 (5th in SWAC)
Alabama A&M 12 115 998 83.2 (9th in SWAC)
difference: 43 total yards/9.7 ypg

2002 Season:
Southern............ 12 96 827 68.9 (2nd in SWAC)
Alabama A&M......... 12 107 838 69.8 (3rd in SWAC)
Difference: 11 total yards/0.9 ypg
