SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah State Head Coach Earnest Wilson III is leaving Savannah State. The Tigers’ head coach informed Director of Athletics Sterling Steward, Jr. this afternoon.

In Wilson’s three years at Savannah State, the Tigers were 2-32, with one conference win, coming the 2015 season over Florida A&M.

Wilson has been offered a contract by Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina, a Division Two program. He was the 24th Head Coach in the history of the Savannah State program.

Fort Valley and Albany used to have good teams too but now, it has to be something in the water....

Also, Earnest Wilson never stays anywhere long. He made a big mistake when he left JSU. He wanted a raise without winning a championship. Guess he didn't know where he was...
