GRAMBLING — A special group of entrepreneurs pursuing dreams of small business ownership will study business fundamentals and gain hands-on experience in a free program offered by Grambling State University.
The College of Business and the Office of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning have teamed up to provide a six-week course, Operation JumpStart: First Step, a nationally recognized, successful training model for people considering starting or expanding a small business. The curriculum teaches participants essential small business planning and preparation skills.
The class will begin Tuesday at the H. Simmons Sr. Small Business Learning Center in Jonesboro and continue through Sept. 27. The course meets for six consecutive weeks from 6 to 9 p.m every Tuesday and Thursday. A $10 registration fee will be assessed for the course, including course materials. The course will be limited to the first 20 applicants.
