A judge in Los Angeles Superior Court has dismissed a case filed by Alabama State University against an auditing firm that's investigating the school.

That report contained a number of damaging allegations against the school and two ASU trustees, chairman Elton Dean and vice-chairman Marvin Wiggins. ASU officials, Wiggins and Dean have all vehemently denied the allegations and opted to file suit against FSS for purposefully damaging the university's reputation.

Why do this in Cali? Well:ASU stated in the lawsuit that it filed the suit in California because FSS had business practices there, and it hinted that a fair trial in Alabama, given the state's history of racial issues and ASU's status as a historically black college, was impossible.

Bama State has GOT to have hands down THEE worst and most crooked board in the SWAC. Every years there seems to be some sort of illegality rearing it's ugly head.

The company conducting the forensic audit had an office there and ASU said they felt they were unable to get a fair trial here.

I told yall, them Bamas could steal all the state money they could stand, but once they started stealing federal money it would be on....I want to see some consequences and repercussions behind this. Feds watching

More mess going on with Bama State. I don't know how this school continues to function under the current leadership (President not included).

Moody’s Downgrades Alabama State, Howard Credit Ratings
http://hbcudigest.com/howard-university-alabama-state-university-moodys-credit-downgrade/

Moody’s Investor Services this week downgraded the credit ratings of Alabama State University and Howard University, citing instability in leadership and financial struggles at both institutions.

The agency attributed the Alabama State downgrade to Ba1 from Baa1 to “weak governance” and the recent Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ accreditation warning status. Among the listed challenges:

*ASU has had significant governance and management challenges, which have led to and been exacerbated by extraordinary events, such as a forensic audit, presidential turnover, and accreditation challenges that limit ability to focus on core operational improvement.

*Management’s inability or unwillingness to significantly address a growing structural deficit are symptoms of weak controls that will lead to continued financial deterioration absent material and timely corrective action....

I'm sure he knows his school better than we do.

Smh.... I been pulling for ASU, but it keeps getting worse

The debt more then likely came from the new stadium. When AAMU built our stadium Huntsville Times ran every story they could about A&M stadium and the city was mad as hell we stop using their properties. I bet this is the same thing going on in the Gump.
