Alabama State University's College of Science, Mathematics and Technology will host its first Saturday STEM, short for science, mathematics, engineering and technology, Academy on Saturday on campus.

The Academy, which is free to attend, will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Life Science Building. The goal of the new program is to promote STEM by providing hands-on activities and laboratory experiences for middle and high school students in the tri-county area.
